INNER PEACE ~ BALANCING ACT

AS HUMAN BEINGS WE ALL WANT TO BE HAPPY AND FREE FROM MISERY.
WE HAVE LEARNED THAT THE KEY TO HAPPINESS IS INNER PEACE.
THE GREATEST OBSTACLES TO INNER PEACE ARE DISTURBING EMOTIONS
SUCH AS ANGER AND ATTACHMENT, FEAR AND SUSPICION,
WHILE LOVE AND COMPASSION, A SENSE OF UNIVERSAL RESPONSIBILITY
ARE THE SOURCES OF PEACE AND HAPPINESS.

When one gives one’s heart, it is a total action. And when you give your mind, it is a fragmentary action. And most of us give our minds to so many things. That is why we live a fragmentary life—thinking one thing and doing another; and we are torn, contradictory. To understand something, one must give not only one’s mind but one’s heart to it.
